Honors
Challenging yourself can go beyond just getting good grades.
If you are looking to maximize your time in college, the University Honors Program offers an immersive experience in education and personal discovery. You can explore your favorite subjects by engaging seminar-style classes with students from diverse backgrounds and professors who are selected by the Honors Program for their strong mentoring skills.
Honors classes ask big questions and dig deeper for answers, helping you uncover not just who and what but also why. Honors students benefit from close relationships with fellow students and faculty and learn to respect a variety of perspectives. Graduating with Honors in General Education highlights you as among the best and brightest, possessing valuable critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and prepared for a career or graduate studies.
All work, no play? No way.
Honors students have some of the most fun on campus. In addition to a variety of unique and intriguing out-of-the-classroom learning opportunities, you will:
- have access to day trips to destinations like New York City and Washington D.C.
- free tickets to some of the Cultural Events Series' most popular shows and special Honors Program events.
- can live in Honors housing with single and double rooms
- have priority registration for classes
Honors classes go more in-depth... You are going to go that extra mile. When you reach the finish line, you will look back and value the knowledge you've gained.
